The Wall of Honor pays tribute to every person who has served in the United States military and lived in Washington County sometime during their life. 

Those names of veterans that were not included in the initial engraving will be added in time for Veterans Day, 2009.  There is no charge to add the name of a veteran to the Wall of Honor.


  • There is no charge to add the name of a veteran to the Wall of Honor
  • Veterans Tribute Plaza recognizes a veteran to be any person, living or dead, who served, or is serving, in our country’s military, including the Merchant Marines
  • Engraving is limited to only the veteran’s name
  • A veteran must have lived in Washington County sometime during their life
  • The names of veterans who died while in service are displayed in gold
  • The maximum number of letters and spaces for each name is 21
  • No punctuation is used on the Wall of Honor
  • Nicknames and initials are permitted
  • If a veteran’s surname has changed, only their surname at time of discharge will be engraved
